The participation report for European Mobility Week 2015 has been published, giving a detailed look at the campaign over the last year. The 2015 campaign saw a drop in the number of cities involved, from 2,013 cities in 2014 to 1,873 cities in 2015, but recorded an increase in the number of countries represented.
ENDURANCE is a three-year project promoting the development and implementation of Sustainable Urban Mobility Plans (SUMPs), and English/Welsh Local Transport Plans (LTPs) are a type of SUMP. The latest ENDURANCE E-Update has a theme of 'Smart Packages of Measures'.
The European Conference on Mobility Management (ECOMM) will be held in Athens, Greece from 1-3 June 2016. A call for presentations is open until 16 December 2015. Read more about ECOMM 2016 here.
There is also one place available for a UK organisation seeking to join the International Programme Committee (IPC), which selects the papers to be presented at ECOMM. Please contact fiona -at- acttravelwise.org if interested.
Lastly, there is a possibility to host ECOMM in the UK in 2017 or 2018 - although for 2017 the deadline to submit a bid would be 15 December 2015. Please contact randall -at- acttravelwise.org if interested.
EPOMM - the European Platform on Mobility Management* - has released its 26 November 2015 e-bulletin on the topic of mobility management in companies. It provides an overview and examples of workplace travel plans, 'carrots' and 'sticks', campaigns and awareness raising, motivating companies through regulation, and national campaigns supporting sustainable transport for businesses, and links to useful resources.
