Brad Lee, Moovit UK - Demand Responsive Transport / Moovit Platform
Demand Responsive Transport (DRT) has become very prominent in the SE region with many local authorities looking to implement DRT schemes especially with a view to connect rural areas off the back of Rural Mobility Funding. Brad Lee of Moovit will speak about current SE initiatives involving DRT and the Moovit platform. Brad will explain the various solutions they offer along with the benefits Moovit can deliver to Operators and Local Authorities especially as we recover from COVID-19.
Brad has been working in the Smart Transportation space for several years now and since January 2020 he has been the main Moovit representative for the UK, Ireland and the Nordics.
Richard Dilks, CoMoUK - Mobility / community hubs
CoMoUK is playing a leading role in the UK’s transition to integrated mobility solutions designed for the public good. CoMoUK was established in 1999 and was previously known as Carplus and Bikeplus.
Richard Dilks will be talking about the role mobility / community hubs can play in providing sustainable transport options in one convenient location that can make areas less congested and polluted with more space freed up from car parking space. These are widespread in a number of continental European countries and parts of the United States and boost utilisation while providing convenient places to put EV charging infrastructure, community facilities, 5G stations and pick up and drop off points for bikes, e bikes and e scooters where legal. There are a number in development across Britain including some in the South East. and the charity CoMoUK is playing a leading public interest role in their development.
