The annual conference of the RTPI-TPS Transport Planning Network, titled 'Development around Transport Hubs' will be held in Birmingham on Monday 21 November 2016 from 1 pm - 6 pm. The conference will explore the government's agenda for delivering housing around transport hubs, and discuss how we plan sustainable transit-oriented developments.

The second Total Transport Northern Group (TTNG) Conference, titled 'Delivering Smarter Health Transport', will be held in Doncaster on 11 November 2016. Total Transport is the pan-Government transport initiative to ensure that every £1 spent on transport is maximised. The conference is free to attend. Keynote address by Andrew Jones MP, Parliamentary Under Secretary of State, Department for Transport and presentations by various healthcare partners. East Riding of Yorkshire Council is organising the event with support from nine other Northern local authorities that have all received DfT Total Transport Pilot funding.

The autumn 2016 meeting of the Midlands regional group is scheduled for Thursday 6 October at 10:30 am at the offices of Transport for West Midlands in Birmingham. Sustrans will be delivering a series of open-enrolment Workplace Travel Champions Training courses throughout October-December. The sessions will be hosted by the Big Lottery Fund and are set to take place in Newcastle, Birmingham and Belfast. These courses will give workplace staff the knowledge, skills and confidence to champion sustainable travel within their organisation; providing them with a wealth of tools and materials.
Bikeplus announces an exciting two day conference in Oxford about bike share in the UK. Participants will gain wider understanding of important issues in the sector from bike share procurement to the latest innovations as well as learning lessons from the Shared Electric Bike Programme.
