The next Act TravelWise Midlands Regional Meeting (combined West and East Midlands) will be held on Tuesday 2 August, hosted by Atkins.
This event is hosted by Microsoft Research in Cambridge, a city which has the best cycling infrastructure catering for the highest modal share of trips made by bicycle of any city in the UK. Delegates will have the chance to hear from the project leaders for the cycle schemes and site visits will allow delegates to view the infrastructure first hand. Join us this July in Cambridge to understand what makes a great station cycle hub and a great cycling city.
The second meeting of the NHS Travel and Transport Managers' Forum will take place on Tuesday 12 July, 11 am to 1 pm, at the offices of BuroHappold Engineering in London. There will be call-in facilities to enable remote participation from NHS employees around the country.
Integrating sustainable transport and economic development is increasingly relevant, given the need to demonstrate value for money in public projects. This conference will showcase how the sustainable transport sector works with other policy areas to deliver shared priorities. The conference will be held on Tuesday 5 July 2016 at The Forum in Southend-on-Sea.

UCL Transport Institute is inviting submissions for a travel behaviour change Dragons’ Den-style event. The aim is to identify one or more well-defined interventions which have the potential to make a significant impact on the nation’s travel behaviour, and individuals’ activity levels in particular.
The East of England regional group is holding its next meeting on Thursday 23 June, 10:30 am to 3:30 pm in the Enterprise Centre at University of East Anglia in Norwich.
The next meeting of the South West regional group will take place on Tuesday 14 June, 12.00-15.30 (including optional cycle tour). With the theme of Cycle Infrastructure, the meeting will be hosted by Swindon Borough Concil in Swindon.
Transports Publics, the European Mobility Exhibition, is the biennial exhibition for all the key players in public transport and sustainable mobility from across Europe. Free tickets are available to attend the three-day event in Paris being held from 14-16 June 2016.
Following on a well-received plenary presentation at the Act TravelWise Annual Conference, Helen Ramsden of Transport for Greater Manchester will be leading a workshop with her colleague Julian Ashworth on how to write an effective funding bid. The workshop, being held on Tuesday 7 June from 11:15 am to 2:15 pm, is a timely opportunity to improve any funding proposals being prepared for the DfT Access Fund.
